London’s Calling Your Wallet

london holiday sales.jpgSo it’s Friday, the end of a long, hard week and all your body is craving is designer clothes, drink and music. But where do you go? My top choices:

1. Lambs Conduit St. Christmas of course!

From 12 - 8pm today, Lambs Conduit St London holds its very own festive party. Music, games and fun, including Folk, Lee, Humanoid, Patagonia, Tretorn, BSA and Lowie, up to 80% off. There’ll also be a handbag raffle, winter bbq, alcoholic smoothies, mulled wine and mince pies.

2. And for Saturday, here’s one you cannot possibly miss:

North London-based vintage/costume store Angels needs to get rid of old stock, which consists of “genuine retro clothing and accessories from the 1920’s - 90’s (every decade included), contemporary clothing and period military uniforms.

You pay to get a bag upon admittance (small bag for £10, medium £20, large £50), then run around like crazy fools filling your bags with as many clothes as possible. Warning: The event’s Facebook group already has 4,546 people listed as attending, but it will so be worth it. Details after the jump.

not to be rude but couldn't you find someone a bit more insider-y to handle london? i could get better scoops and i don't even live over there. i don't really understand the thought process, unless he's just a friend of yours.

Uh, some of us are actually already *in* London. The whole world (and entire readership of Fashionista) doesn't live in the US.

no.8 you didn't miss anything anyway the queue was almost a mile long and very very slow moving. We were there at 8.30 and didn't get in till 11.30. Plus all that was left was boxes of M&S and BHS rubbish. There was a huge queue getting refunds on all the bags they bought but didn't use.

It was absolutely terrible. I arrived at around 8:30am and the queue was literally half a mile. The people who enjoyed it arrived at around 7:30am or so.

I didn't bother queueing and went to some charity shops nearby which actually had loads of nice finds.

16 & 17 are rifht on. I think the idea behind Br(it) Boy is to let people know what is going on in London who live in the US (like me) but also let the UK readers of Fashionista know about things they can go to like sample sales.
The world doesnt revolve around America you know!
