Madison Alessandro Dell’Acqua: Closed

alessandro dellacqua on madison just closed.jpgIn this hundredth installment of Just How Much Worse Can Things Get comes this:

The Alessandro Dell’Acqua boutique on Madison Avenue is closed.

No word yet on what, if anything, will replace it to take advantage of such prime shopping real estate (or…) during the holiday season, but if you’re in need of a 60” plasma, forty rolls of cash register tape, or a mini stainless steel garbage can (left), you’re in luck - the store’s liquidating all their store furnishings in an in-store sale this Saturday, with a preview of everything available online.

Yikes.

I'm there, I need some garment bags & boxes for storage. I could also use the label maker.

They did this when Saks Fifth Avenue here closed. They accepted pretty much any offer on manequins and furniture or any of the other furnishings. So sad.
