madonna for louis vuitton spring 09 small.jpgLess than a month after the rumor surfaced that Madonna might vogue for Louis Vuitton's Spring 09 campaign, and the images are already out, via WWD.

Predictably, Madonna shows off the fruits of her gym membership as casually as possible, wearing the orange, shredded skirt Stam wore on the runway, paired with massive shoes and a massive bag, front and center.

The ad, which consists of six images total, marks what sounds like the beginning of a long friendship between Louis Vuitton and Meisel, who's replacing Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott as the house's go-to photographer.

Somehow, we keep expecting back-up dancers to come crawling in from the sides...

I have to say I'm really surpised- i would definitely have never thought madonna fit an LV campaign but the pics are tres impressive!
