Like any major city, it's hard to imagine major streets cut off from car traffic, leaving shoppers free to run to and from stores without having to look before crossing the street or worrying that their hat might fly off mid-walk and end up in the middle of two-lane traffic. But if you're shopping in London tomorrow, around Oxford and Regent streets, that's exactly what it'll be like. The West End's 650 retailers have decided to revive last year's no-cars/buses day, to try and match the record sales it produced. Officials hours are from 10:30am - 5pm, during which we suspect will be some major sales, too. So have fun, and screw looking both ways before crossing the street.
