I always thought it was a Boom-Box. What does ghetto have to do with it?

I love this editorial! Sasha is too perfect and the styling is incredible.
P.S. You guys really oughta invest in an x-acto knife.

I'm so amazed by how attentive people are, I really wouldn't have noticed the jagged edges of the magazine scan LOL. By the way PYT the folks at fashionista could apply some Photoshop cropping skills as a more efficient alternative to an x-acto knife ;).
Anyway not quite sure why people are up in arms over the term "ghetto blaster." I don't really get the reference as the styling looks more pop 80's inspired than hip-hop.
Oh and to the person who said to use wikipedia as a reference, although it is a great tool for us lazy young folk - who have come to love instantaneous communication - it is hardly the most credible source to reference :P

perhaps the torn edges were intentional, since that style often used torn things. i like it. the model is very pretty and wears these clothes with a lot of attitude coming through. my favorite is the painted dress pg.8 which looks really unique. the bridge scene - i love that red jacket! several places i saw the word "abstract" and this was a really strong theme and fun to view. thanks

plugging in the name ghettoblaster instead of boombox implies that the person carrying it has some sort of experience on the streets? right? no doubt that in this context, that isn't the case... again, just another case of bougie folk trying to seem like their down (but nobody's fooled except their equally desperate peers!)

Wow, you're all a bunch of ridiculous idiots who are devoted to being politically correct. How is your collection of minority "friends" coming along?
Shut up about the "ghetto blaster." That's what it's known as and guess what, "ghetto blaster" is not a dirty phrase.

Why "ghetto"?! Honestly, just say "an 80's blaster boom box". Just ignorant. An 80's reference is more appropriate for the attire anyway.
