It seems that while this one is just appearing everywhere, Blake Lively is being picky. Black doesn't go to EVERY pary, EVERY fashion show and doesn't appear on ANY magazine cover. The strategy behind Blake seems much more defined.....also, Blake was on this cover months ago, it looks like this one is just following suit. And I'm not even Team Serena! I am Team Blair all the way!

11, I think 5 meant what she said. Exactly HOW is Blake pickier than Leighton? Blake is photographed ALL THE TIME at countless parties, and has been on more covers than Leighton. If Blake is so picky, how do you explain her choice of being in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, or her choice of doing a ridiculously stupid and unfunny guest appearance on SNL?

Actually, I sort of understand where #4 is coming from. Off the top of my head, I recall Leighton Meester hosting some Lucky Shoppes event (I recall because I was there), hosting some charity afternoon event in Union Square in NY where she was the only celeb, some other random event where she was photographed with Emmy Rossum on a rooftop for Swarovski or something....and then the countless fashion shows, I mean Jason Wu, Phillip Lim, Julie Haus etc etc...what honestly was behind the explanation for these? Oh yeah and she was on the cover of Lucky because I remember thinking how cute she looked on it. Blake Lively was just on the cover of W, she was photographed at the Michael Kors show which I think is the only major show in NY she went to...oh and also, Ms. Sixty but they pay celebs to go (hello Clive Owen and Hilary Swank?) and then appearances at the Met Costume Ball...and I dont know what else. Oh and yeah, if you check out the new Vogue, she's all up in the magazine. And I think Sisterhood 2 was a contract thing she was probably obligated to do. The caliber of the things both of these girls do are not the same level at all. The Seventeen magazine thing, well, that's just the exact dmeographic for her show. I'm not saying Leighton should NOT have been on Teen Vogue, I'm just saying it sucks she's on it now AFTER Blake was on it a couple of months ago.

Regardless, I am just glad that Leighton is getting the spotlight! Blake is always spotted at parties (with Penn Badgely, no less) and she has been on countless covers scince the show aired. Imho, I think that Leighton is far more talented, and I am glad that she's taken Serena's (I mean...um Blake's) limelight this time. Team Blair all the way!!!!

Leighton looks better in motion and in real life than airbrushed on a magazine or doused in 10lbs of makeup at an event. SHOCKING. I KNOW.
If you look up WireImage, the last public appearance she's made was in in the first week of November... Three out of the last appearances have been for charity and one was a movie premiere where she went with her cast. And are we really blaming the girl for going to Fashion Week where she was spotted being 'overwhelmed by the cameras'? Even the person who wrote the sighting noted that maybe that's why she doesn't go out as much.
Any semblance of news we have Leighton have been because we were lucky. NY Mag spotted her doing the Teen Vogue photoshoot. A paparazzo wrote in his blog about how lucky he was to have seen her doing an ad for Reebok because he was surprised no media or press were there. STAR and Us Weekly magazines were busybodies writing about her FAMILY'S business. Apparently she's making out with her boyfriend all over New York for publicity yet no one has a picture of that but countless of pictures of her picking up after her dog.
Can you say the same for Blake whose every move have been calculated and forced down our throats?

i'm so glad she's on the cover!!!! the past couple of months they've haven't had good people on the cover apart from rachel bilson. anyway she's my favorite on gossip girl
