Streetwalker: Winter Trotter

winter walker.jpgCassandra, Menswear Designer

Got Her: At Mott and Prince

Stalked Her: Because it’s winter and it took all our self-will not to roll out of bed wearing sweatpants and a sleeping bag. This chick proves that you can stay cozy while staying cute.

Shot Her: Because her baggy sweater with furry collar is just the sort of piece you can wear everywhere this season, and yet it still manages to have an eclectic, “oh I got this while on one of my word travels” feel. (Not to mention, her neck is probably really warm.) Plus, we love the graphic touches, like the pattern of her dress and the graffiti Marc Jacobs bag.

She Says: eBay, eBay, Japan (as she points to each piece)

We Say: Eclectic finds = eclectic look.

I like the fox fur and the cardigan. The top and bag are yuck and the leggings look like rave pants rather than the pvc type.

That being said, she looks stylish and I don't want to skewer the poor girl completely. I like the silhouette!

Her haircut is the best thing about the outfit... and her boots.

People are so mean! There be more "fashionable" girls up and down the street, however chances are they look like a picture you have already seen from any of a million magazine or blogs. At least this girl is original, isn't that the point of fashion?

I agree with Amanda!
My first thought was, blegh those shiny leggings from american apparel...ugh, weirdly patterned dress.. but I actually like her in it! I like her hair, her fur collar, her sweater coat, and her (a.p.c?) boots. So don't be a square!

I think if the tights were a better fit and paired with some sort of heel as opposed to those masculine boots the outfit would be a bit more sophisticated and mature - But I'm always a fan of comfort so whatevs.

Anyway more streetwalker posts Fashionista!!

I imagine that all the catty commentary comes from rich brats that dress like billboards. I find it hilarious how much money girls like that will spend on ugly designer trash while putting on superior airs and trash talking a cute girl with an original concept.

This girl has a good thing going on, especially with the dress and fur collar. I'd don't care for the bag, and the boots are fine but nothing thrilling. I'd like to see this with dark green or dark purple (non shiny) tights and witchy vintage ankle boots.

guest #14 - original concept? really? what's original about an shirt dress with black tights; an oversized cardigan; blunt bangs; and a bulky purse?

Seen it a thousand times before, in various permutations, and with fewer dead animals.
