People Are Talking

Cheryl Cole + Kate = New Topshop Line?

cheryl cole on cover of vogue uk.jpgShe’s currently the cover girl of British Vogue, has had 19 smash hits with her band - and is now turning her hand to design?

That’s right - The News of the World reports that Cheryl Cole will be designing a new range for Topshop, with the help of new BFF, none other than the lady herself, Kate Moss.

According to backstage reports at the X Factor (American Idol), Cheryl and Kate instantly hit it off, gushing about each other all night:

“When Cheryl said she wanted to get into high street fashion, Kate got very, very animated. It’s very likely to happen next year…Together they could make an amazingly diverse range.”

So, it will basically be something like this:

Rock Chic - Herion Chic + WAG = BIG MONEY

ps. Here’s the horrific cover that was surrounded with so much controversy.

Because its an AWFUL cover, and it has HER on it.You see why some fashion people were pissed, but honestly they could have made a nice cover if they decided to feature her, but this is sooo horrible!!

And this story i doubt is true.

it does look like she has enough hair to cover a tiger, there's always the moment when you need to put the blowdryer back into the drawer. and is this the first time the word WAG is mentioned in fashionista!? funny... i don't think this story is true, though.

Umm since when did thick, luscious hair become bad?! Seriously- it's healthy supermodel hair featured alongside one of the gorgeous gold Prada dresses! And since when did putting celebrities on the cover of magazines become a crime? The States and the UK both do it frequently (and it's not looking like it's gonna change no matter how much anyone wants). If that cover actually is really "controversial" then London fashion has become very very stuck-up.

This looks like a cheap COSMO cover, with the excess amount of hair flying everywhere and the chest sticking out!

I refuse to believe that Kate Moss and Cheryl Tweedy Cole would ever be friends or would Kate and her design a collection together. Seriously, I can't even imagine what that would mean.

It doesn't even look like a real cover it looks like one of those joke ones where you pay a fiver and give them a pic of your mate for her birthday and they copy and paste the magazine title over it and then she frames it and hangs it on her council house bedroom wall in newcastle.
I refuse to open it and look inside but I heard she even slags off posh spice. She, like, MADE HER y'know what I meeeaaan?

It's controversial because celebrities of Cheryl Cole's calibre are best left to grace the covers of magazines like Heat, not a fashion magazine (especially when Cheryl isn't even particularly known for her style!).

#9 she didn't really say anything that bad about posh. She was just upset that she didn't call her after her cheated on her.

Good to see that American Vogue isn't the only one putting vapid and questionable celebs on the cover. The Blake Lively February makes the poor girl cover look old. I still don't understand why she would be on the cover. I guess that is why I don't work at Vogue.

well tough look to you ALL!! cheryl and kate are good friends i have read it on numerous websites and in many magazines, also if you lived in the UK you would understand that this cover isnt her best shot, but inside the magazine she looks beautiful and very high fashion in all the pictures and the article is just lovely. you all need to chill out! i love cheryl xxx

1. The xfactor isnt amercian idol.
2. Whats so wrong about putting her on the cover of vogue, shes a working class girl made good, and a good role model.
3. Her clothes will proberly sell better than kate moses collection, i live in northern england and kate moses clothes for topshop are always unsold and in the sales.
4. People need to be less snobby.

Meh. I don't see why Cheryl and Kate can't be friends. Kate was good friends with Lindsay Lohan after all, and Cheryl seems to be about the UK equivalent of LiLo.
And the cover itself is no worse that the weird US Gwyneth cover. She looks pretty.

It always makes me giggle when my friends act like being on the cover of Vogue is like a fashion sainthood or something, and only MODELS should be allowed the honor. There have been plenty of bad Vogue covers with models and with celebs. The goal is to sell magazines. Relax.

no.12 she looks "high fashion"???? I shudder at the thought that anyone would consider her to be that.

no.13 It's not about her working class roots, hell-ooo Kate Moss, Agy Dean, etc It's about the fact that she is incredibly ignorant (I didn't say racist, although due to her actions, I excuse some for thinking that she is) but IGNORANT! She can't even n=blame her "council estate background" becasue at the end of the day there's just decent behaviour & indecent behaviour, and she carries out the latter. It's scary that she's being deified right now. Don't people think???

Has anyone heard of the credit crunch?????? Vogue UK needs to sell those magazines, and she's just the pawn of the moment. Every word they write in there that glorifies her, is a mockery because they all think she's an idiot anyway. Have you had an invitation to the polo... I don't think so, and you won't be welcome there either!

why was Posh meant to call her again? Are they even friends, real friends? She totally buys into all this nonsense. She's an idiot. We'll have your Blake Lively, if you take our Cheryl Cole!!! Please... someone?

She is not a role model. She's been charged with assault, stayed with a cheating (amongst other things...) husband, and is far too skinny to be considered a role model.
Yes, she's in a successful girldband, but all she does is sing songs that somebody else has written.

Apparently the cover shoot was controversial because she got into a huge row with the stylist, the awesome Bay Garnett (Cheap Date).

CC apparently thought she wasn't getting enough "face time" with Bay, who brought her new baby to work, and wanted to wear some of her awful WAG-approved designers for the shoot, and when Bay was like "um, no, sorry" CC stormed off the set.

Cheryl Cole is AWFUL, and I hope this rumor isn't true. Kate, please leave the WAGs alone, and get back to designing hot clothes. And maybe a boots line. Thanks please maybe?
