House of Style Returns

The 90’s television revivals aren’t stopping at 90210 and Absolutely Fabulous. No, House of Style’s jumping on the trend, too.

The Post reports that the MTV show that made Cindy Crawford America’s sweetheart is back for a second try, and the producers already have their sights set on Chanel Iman and Bar Rafaeli (who already has some experience with camera crews) as hosts.

Assuming the show will be the same format of fashion and design information brought to Americans via cute girls, we’re betting it’ll be a hit, especially with those that want to further understand the decade they were born in, which is pretty much MTV’s target audience these days anyway.

In the meantime, please enjoy Cindy and Niki, at left.

Loved the flashback!! Maybe its just m nostalgia, but this clip shows that fashion just isn't fun anymore.

And if they really do bring back House of Style, LC should host!

I stand by my LC statement! House of Style should be fun and cheesy, and it would be the perfect way for LC to finally cut the cord on being a reality star and do something different.

Lauren Conrad is not allowed within a mile of this show. This is what we need to bring models back to covers of magazines and into homes. Coco and Behati would be perfect! I'm way too excited about this...

Lauren Conrad, I'm sorry worst suggestion ever. Have you ever seen that girl attempt to read a teleprompter? Not a good moment. Mtv is so stupid they would probably give it to her or Peaches Geldorf. Or maybe they'll import the Pixie Geldorf and Daisy Lowe. I would not be surprised if they went that route

I LOVED this show growing up. They need a MODEL to host this show, not some sad girl trying to get her Associate of Arts degree at a design school. Did she ever even finish there?

Seriously, though Cindy Crawford, Shalom Harlow, Jamie King (back then she was "James"), and the wild card Daisy Fuentes.

MODELS, PLEASE! All of these ladies were also quite funny and entertaining. LC not so much. I am to understand that her fans like her for the "drama" in her life, yes?

I think Daria's pretty well-spoken and cool. She'd be a great host.

my favorite episode is when they went to Amber and Shalom's houses and they looked at their closets. I just remember all the shoes being in individual boxes with polaroids of the shoes taped to them. I thought they were genius yet crazy!!

guest 15 is right. coco is not going to do it. they already hired bar. they just mentioned coco so mtv would appear to have some sense but mtv hasn't made much sense since they stopped playing music videos unless you like crap reality shows like "the hills" and whitney fake working at dvf.

bar is a terrible idea because no one cares about her except college guys who like t&a which the original house of style was never about.

i wonder if the woman who produced it is going to work on it? she had great ideas and hired todd oldham and james king. she covered all the models and was always about showcasing the indie designers.

this show will be over after it's first airing.

i didn't read one comment about leo's girlfriend because no one cares about her.

Cindy's delivery was stiff on the show, yet she was so charming and likeable. I miss it! She was well cast because she did have the T&A factor - guys LOVED her then - but she was also high fashion. Bar is attractive but very SI and VS. She's never been in American Vogue, has she?

Didn't Tyra and Rebecca Romijin host it later at one point? I worked in Beverly Hills about 9 years ago and recall seeing them being filmed in a convertible on San Vicente and I thought it was for that show.

Interesting, i wonder how the show is goin to be...
Bar rafaeli is so boring, i wonder how many people actually remeber her face...she is so ordinary pretty blond...nothing new there.
It would be cool to have one of the original supermodels or girls like Chanel and Coco hosting...

When does it start??? I'm now watching all the old ones on youtube. I doubt it'll be as good but I hope they don't TOTALLY kill it!
LC as host... SERIOUSLY??? THe host's meant to be charming and likeable and HAVE A PERSONALITY. LC fails on all counts
