Madonna for LV Spring 09: Unreal

more madonna for louis vuittong 3.jpgThe rest of the Madonna for Louis Vuitton Spring 09 campaign images are out, and while the Daily Mail can’t get over Madge’s crotch shot, we’re way more concerned with whomever LVMH hired to do their post-production work.

At left, the head of Madonna resting on a chair, with her body resting so close it almost looks life like.

After the jump, a tricep so lean and yet fuzzy, it’s clearly the victim of a Photoshop-grade eraser.

Otherwise, Madonna looks like her normal, taut self, with which we never take issue. Any advertisement that says “Eat well, workout!” is better than one that says, “Don’t eat, be twelve!”

Her head looks doesnt look attached to her body in the 1st picture. And i dont think much of the bag in the picture either.

Total coup getting M. for the ads but I'm not so sure of the product. Aren't It bags kind of over because of the recession?

Wow, terrible Photoshopping. They really went to town on these pics! In the purple background one, it's like there is a fuzzy nimbus around her head -- Madge for sainthood?

I think she looks fantastic in these shots regarldess of the Photoshop. Most images are digitally altered so I don't even care to really address that anymore unless the person looks entirely different (Drew B. and Gwen. P w/ their Vogue covers).

Guest 4 your comments make me sick, the images you think are 'fantastic' despite being digitally altered are not real and sending a wrong 'idealistic' message to people. I know that a lot of campaigns are like that but that doesnt they should be accepted.

I love every artistic aspect of these photos, the tones, the figure pose...but Madge is probably one of the most selfish people Ive ever heard of. I would have liked to see Rihanna for LV instead of her work for Gucci.

I think they're really awesome -- any interesting ad that makes you look twice is working!

I was afraid at first that Madonna for LV would be bright flashy colours and Hard Candy-ish...
so I am pleasantly okay with them (even if they do look slightly photoshopped)!

EVERYTHING is photoshoped, whether it be a person or a cup of coffee in an Ad.
Nevertheless, she looks great.

Awful choice, Marc... she's so tucked and pulled, her face is transforming into the Bride of Wildenstein's visage.

I don't like the bags! Theyre ugly...who cares about Madonna in the ads. LVMH should have placed better bags in the ads. Marc must have gone back to drugs.

In response to guest 17, i work with young girls with eating disorders, a lot of these young girls look towards images of celebrities who have been airbrushed to within an inch of their lives as role models and 'ideal' body types. All i was saying to guest 4 is we shouldnt be so blase and accepting about it.

Madonna is not some random 'body type'

She is an icon with longevity, and a strong and talented woman, who happens to look great.
