Fashion Is Fun

Poladroid Saves the Day

behati poladroid.jpgIf, like us, you’re worried about life post-Polaroid, or if, also like us, the expense of Polaroid film has prohibited you from taking as many dreamy nostalgic shots as you’d like, fear not.

Because now there’s Poladroid.

The site, which leads you to a downloadable application, lets you take any or all of your digital pictures and turn them into Polaroids. And since we’re of the firm belief that everyone and everything looks better in fuzzy Polaroid form, we’re rejoicing.

Of course, for the fashion industry’s sake, this isn’t so amazing. It’s the ease and speed of instant pictures that make the boxy camera so valuable backstage and in showrooms.

But now you can make it look like Jeremy Kost took your Saturday night pictures - that is, if you hang out with models and Olsens on Saturday nights.

GROSS.
do we always have to exploit & cheapen a good thing?
making pictures look like polaroids by using an application
is the photographic equivalent of fake vuitton.

is nothing sacred anymore? If you appreciate polaroid you should have supported it from day one & maybe it wouldn't have become extinct.

By the way, that's not exactly NEWS. Like commenter #1 I downloaded it ages ago. I love Polaroids. My parents even have one but I guess I should ask them for it sometime.

nice, I learned about Poladroid a while ago but it wasn't out for Windows yet. And now it is so thanks!

Still, I miss the real thing. :( The unexpected result that comes from Polaroid film surpasses any digital manipulation...

I agree with Guest #18's comment, but thanks for the heads up that the app is out for Windows now!
