Fashion Is Fun

Scott for DKNY Jeans with Alana

dkny jeans ad shot by scott schuman the sartorialist.jpg

In case you felt like studying those DKNY Jeans ads shot by Scott Schuman, here’s the first larger size one featuring Alana Zimmer, via Models.com.

It really does look like a Sartorialist shot, but, outlined with a DKNY Jeans border.

Though we would have put a bike in the background, just as a wink…

On a side note, does anyone else find it weird that a stylist was used? We think Scott would definitely be qualified in that department, and seeing as how everyone’s looking to cut back on costs, well…

I love her, she really just looks like a natural pretty girl in a sartorialist photo. He looks too styled. I wish he had a wrinkle or two, or maybe less perfectly coiffed.

"really does look like a sartorialist shot"-- oh please. like the sartorialist is such a unique photographer and no one else can shoot with the background in soft focus. OVERRATED!

please, scott is so not a stylist and often he sets up his streetshots on his blog. i know people that he has asked to meet him at a certain time and place wearing something amazing. additionally, those jeans are hideous. would scott photograph outfits like that in real life. my guess is he would walk right past them.

bravo for the sart!
his shots deserve their own campaign
he is an artist and truly creates a beautiful portrait every time.

i hate the woman's jeans though. wretched.

the stylist for this must have had a paper bag over her head while putting these looks together. its euro trash meets a bad American frat boy jeans.

The outfit on the guy is awful! Those jeans! That shirt! The random tie! If I saw someone dressed like that coming towards me on the street, I'd think they were deranged...

#5 is absolutely right. scott would absolutely not photograph that couple if he saw them walking down the street... their outfits are hideous.

it cant be sartorialist-inspired unless the shoot actually has some well-dressed people like the ones he normally photographs.

The girl doesn't look too bad but the guy.. where to begin. His shirt looks way too small in comparison with his jeans. The jeans are too baggy and look sloppy with his shoes. I also think wearing a tie with a short sleeve shirt is just lame, not even that tie clip could save it.
