The City is Coming Back

olivia palermo and whitney port from the mtv the city.jpgIn case anyone else sort of came around on The City after Olivia shut down Whitney over talking about her friends’ hook up situation in the DVF offices (“Whitney, you’re an adult. You’re what, 23 years old? You’re not in high school”), take note:

MTV’s picked up the show for a second season, which could mean more fun quotes from Olivia, but definitely more cameras at Fashion Week.

Not exactly win-win, but maybe Diane will show up on camera again?

They should just center the show around Olivia, she makes it watchable. Whitney doesn't have the same spark LC has, neither does Olivia but still...

LOL that was the best quote ever, like Oliva or not she was right "grow up Whitney"! And why would Whitney discuss other peoples business with basically a complete stranger who she doesn't even really like.

The City is the perfect little fashion filler in between seasons of The Rachel Zoe Project! And I agree... Olivia makes the show worth watching, without her it's just pretty girls talking about boys and going out, atleast Olivia is fun to watch!

I've tried to like this show, I really have but it's dull, except maybe for Nevan Von Bitchy.

I wish they'd show more of what goes on in the DVF offices ~not the hookups~ but what the PR department is really like.
I can watch the male chest beating and 'OMG she totally said this about you' anytime on YouTube.

I can't see why they'd order another season.

omg. love this show even though it's waay fake. olivia is my favorite because whitney has no substance...although neither does most of the show.
I agree with 6.
And srsly, whitney shows no emotion along with that dumb hippie chick she used to room with.
it's all so stupid! i love it.

I agree, it gives me something to watch when The Hills, Rachel Zoe or that Ashley Paige show aren't on! But about the time I start getting into it, the 30 mins are up! I think the show could be better if it lasted an hour - As it is, there are 15 mins of commercials!
And I felt so bad for Whit when Olivia shut her down, don't you know she wished she had LC about that moment?! ;-)

I WANT RACHEL BACK! Even though she sounds crazy half the time for some reason she just grabs you, right away. And Ashley just seems the most normal of the bunch. The City isnt even good enough for filler.

I am admittedly addicted to The City, even though I can't stand the way Whitney talks. Even though she is the main character and we are "supposed" to like her, I think that she would annoy me in real life. Even if Olivia is stuck up, she was totally right to shut Whitney's gossip down in the office. Work is not a place to discuss personal matters like that, and it seems like Whitney was just vying for Olivia's approval. I would watch another season of this, probably...sadly! :Z
