Eliza Cummings to Vogue Italia

Eliza Cummings Lands Vogue Italia.jpgThe name “Eliza Cummings” might not ring a bell for you just yet, but get ready.

The London-born model, who walked in Marc and Rodarte in New York (she also opened Custo Barcelona) and nearly every good show in London and Milan so far, has been shot and confirmed as the April cover for Vogue Italia.

It won’t be her first time fronting a major glossy - she’s one of the twelve girls on the current ID.

But it’ll certainly be her first time front and center and all by herself, in something everybody in fashion knows and loves.

Also, her cover was shot by - who else? - Meisel.

you forgot THE cover aka march dazed w/ her and ash scandalous!!! she is SO overrated though and def not the next agyness, erin, or anything really.

100% overrated. You knew it was going to be real bad though when COACD posted those photos of her and ash as 'the model couple.' Don't even get me started on that Dazed cover. As a matter of fact, they are both dull and a total waste of Meisel's talent. They may as well put the Geldof girls on the cover. Pfft, next thing you know, Carine is gonna ditch Lara for Daisy.

Eliza's agency is doing a brilliant job managing her and she's gotten a lot of hype and some good bookings. But I don't think that she's going to have much longevity in the industry. She's Georgia Frost version 2.0, I'm guessing.

I agree with #4, great hype marketing on her agency's behalf, but it seems that hype is what most of these girls have to go on right now. She does look horrendous on the runway. She reminds me of that ANTM when Sam was walking for Jeremy Scott and she basically lifted her dress up at the end of the runway. bahaha

no, seriously, I've never given her a second look on editorials and i ditched her i-D cover - which was apparently the only one available last time i checked - but I instantly fell in love with her at Vivienne Westwood RedLabel...

a flash in the meisel pan 5:"7" at best and a body and face like kelly clarkson........not that thats bad just your average fish and chips server. gimme a break.

#9 - laura hollins was an "average fish and chips server" at one point herself.

i don't like eliza myself either but because of photoshop she looks slightly more polished in her editorials than on runway. she must know how to work the camera really well to even get the bookings she's had lately. so there is something there.

career longevity for her depends on who ends up representing her in america (not sure who reps her now in nyc.) if she goes with louie at women then she might be able to get a slot in meisel's rotation for awhile. and she can diversify her look, get some better publicity stunts and become the next agyness. it's a formula waiting for the next one to come along. maybe it's her? i doubt it but you never know...

have you seen the video with her and ash stymest on models.com...... she is completely average and she says stuff like "can't wait to get into pubs n shit and get smashed"....trashhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, not to mention she's like the size of tyra banks

you dont even no her. so dont talk about her. and no she isnt you avrige model that you like but when people meet her they fall in love with her.
and size of tyra banks hahaha please she has the smallest waist ever and beautifull boobs and i nice ass. you just jelous and did to grow up she is just a kid. if you havnt got anythink nice to say dont say it atall

I had the pleasure of working with Eliza this Fashion Week in NY during the Custo Barcelona show and Akiko Ogawa and let me tell you that she is awesome! Her personality and spirit will take her far. She is so likable and has a unique look! dont hate!

People complain that models have no personality and then when models who have personality come on the scene they complain that they're "the size of Tyra Banks" and are overrate / average. Give the kid a chance, we'll see how the cover looks.
