Fall 2009 Paris

Kanye Watch, Fall 09

kanye west got his photo taken.jpgTo: Tips@Fashionista.com

From: LineSyp@Fall09.com

I was standing in line for Preen, when Kanye asked/had to ask Scott to shoot him and his entourage.

So they went outside and Scott shot them and then they went back in and exchanged numbers.

Thought you might like to know.

D

We witnessed a small exchange between Kanye and Scott outside of Band of Outsiders earlier today. Kanye strutting up to Scott, Scott not caring, then Kanye tapping Scott on the stomach like old friends. Still, no shot. For the record, Kanye was carrying a large camo duffel bag.

im not one of those people who particularly cares about kanye, and while i do get annoyed when blog commenters try to knock him down for being a "rapper," all of these posts are overkill. enough. i dont care who he touches hugs or looks at. enough.

Urghh guest 1 and 2 how dare you defend Kanye West, he is the most irritating talentless moron desperately trying to claw his way into the fashion industry... and that stupid half smile he does in every photo... doesn't he get the hint everyone just wants him to fuck off.... the joke is over

I have honestly have no idea why any of you hates Kanye other than the fact that you're most likely an ultimate fashion snob. Give it a break. He's got money and good taste. The only reason you probably don't like him is because he's black. Yeah, I said it.

stop hating on Kanye, he has the right to be interested in fashion just like anyone else.

#11, no one is saying he can't be interested in fashion... we just think he should keep the fuck out of the industry, thats all.

I love that about Scott. He's impressed by true individual style, no matter who has it.

it's not about him being black and anyone can be interested in fashion. it's when they go and shit where i eat, so to speak, that it's annoying. if he wanted to WORK in fashion, well maybe he should have thought of that year ago...#12 has it perfectly

Why is it when people like Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen (people who also have no classical training or fashion merit) decide to design and put out a fashion book, lots of people swoon but when Kanye shows interests, everyone gets their panties all in a bunch. Why be so selectively snotty, guys?

the joke is that "fashion industry" jokers continue to talk about him. he's the one laughing. i wasnt defending him -- my comment said i dont want to hear about him and i dont care.

i dont really like the row or elizabeth and james either, and neither really designed by the olsens. they are very stylish girls and good businesswomen, thats about it.

i think people should do what they do and let others do their jobs. why must members of his entourage displace people actually at the shows for work?

I agree with you Fauvism about the entourage taking seats that fashion editors should have. That's obnoxious. No fashion show seats for hanger-ons.

#6, you are SO right

There's no reason for him to be at the shows anymore since designers invite celebs for the press coverage, but Kanye doesn't generate brand-specific press coverage anymore because he's at every damn show (men's, couture, r-t-w..)

It will truly be a day to celebrate when designers stop inviting this clown, and ask security to bar him and his mangy 'entourage' if they turn up uninvited.

Is it just me or does anyone else think it's weird that Nip/Tuck uses Kanye's
"Flashing Lights" on their commercial and his mother died during plastic surgery? That single was out when she died, also. Just saying...
