Fashion Week Back to TV

fashion week images .jpgWe knew there’d be good Fashion Week news eventually: Full Frontal Fashion might’ve been cancelled but you’ll still be able to get a behind-the-scenes look at New York Fashion Week via a new TV show called Videofashion Daily.

They’ll be covering shows on and off site - from Rag & Bone in Chelsea to Narciso Rodriguez at the tents - from February 15th to the 26th.

No word on a front row host, though backstage beauty coverage will be led by Glamour’s Editor-at-Large Suze Yalof Schwartz. Fabiola’s got her New York Magazine front row act down pat, so it’ll need to be someone equally bubbly and nice. Suggestions?

The show will air on NYCTV from 9 - 11pm every night. Full schedule after the jump.

Yay! I'm so glad I have NYCTV! I think it's only available on Time Warner Cable, but maybe if you look online, they might broadcast it on you tube or on their web site.

The best part of this is that no more Christina Ha, Hopefully no more Kool-Aid guzzling commentators like Wayne Boston, ,the inane editor from Essence( whatever her name is) who was only given Baby Phat or other designers of color to discuss, The chubby bespectacled guy from BGoodman with his own consulting firm and most of all Jerry Della Femina's wife who started it all. It was the most tedious ,uncritical commentary ever. I had to turn the sound off to watch. Maybe this new team will be more astute and interesting. The schedule looks a little funky with many of the same shows airing again and again. With 200 shows to cover, isn't that a little short sighted? I miss ROBERT VERDI!!!! He was a class act,ALWAYS.

Why do they continue to bring that chick from Glamour Mag back on air? She knows fuck all about fashion. She has terrible style. Her on air delivery is wack.

As for suggestions, hire Amy Odell from NY Mag. She's one of the wittiest and best fashion writers out there.

Or even Cathryn Horn or Guy Trebay from NY Times.

Anyone except know nothing about fashion Glamour mag whatever she does. I don't read the magazine - who does - so who knows what she does?

Maybe they could get Tim Blanks to host - that would be fabulous - he is the voice of fashion as far as I'm concerned - Fashion File has never been the same.
