France Says, “Nous Vous Aimons,” to Lydia
By Natalie Hormilla Friday, Mar 6, 2009 / 2:19 PM
Lydia Hearst may be best known for her UES roots on this side of the Atlantic, but in France, Ms. Hearst appears to be all model.
Not only did Femmes choose the Hitchcock-blonde as star of their relaunch edition, but the heiress also appears in another French magazine this month, Citizen K, in an editorial shot by Gregory Derkenne.
Maybe they have her confused with Grace Kelly?
Décidez!

She is growing on me. The more I see the more I understand why she is a model and can appreciate that she takes herself and career seriously. Lovely pics
No! I still don’t get it! There are so many million models that could do the editorials she does a bazillion times better than her. Her vacant model stare is vacant in a bad way i.e. not intriguing, just dumb and boring.
is she any worse than Kaitlin Aas at Prada, or Suvi, that bug-eyed Masha girl who was at Women, or really half of the freaky looking Women/Supreme board?
@ guest 9:12
Yeah, I would say she is. I think Lydia is really boring as a model. She’s pretty in a very conventional way, but she looks the same in all her eds, is too short for runway, and isn’t a very good poser. Would -much- rather look at Masha T or Suvi in an ed than Lydia.
At least her hair looks gorgeous?
I duno, she’s still growing on me. Kate moss or devon Aioki are short and look the same with the same expression in every image with a vacant glazed over stare. Even Gisele never changes her look. I did pick up femmes and liked that she did have different expressions and even smiled, it was something new and refreshing
The movie Citizen Kane was based off of William Randolph Hearst…makes her more relevant?
Why are you so mean when it comes to this girl?Get a life and get over it Fashionista, she is a model, and is doing a good job, other stuff should not be important.
lydia hearst is pretty and a model.
get over it.
there seems to be something about how shocking it is to see her in magazines all the time.
Pretty does not make model. And whoever claims that her height is irrelevant to her modelling career obviously has no clue.
Also, guest 8, when were Fashionista ever mean? There was not a mean word spoke in this article… Fashionista are aware of the fact that there is a lot of doubt over her modelling career. It is a very common feeling out there in the fashion world, not a view that only Fashionista holds.
