Liquid Eyeliner, but Better

louis vuitton fall 07.jpgI don’t know much about beauty.

I’m a wash my face and go kind of girl, after three swipes of mascara at least, but I’ve always been slightly obsessed with liquid eyeliner. But despite all of the brands I’ve tried - MAC, Nars, Dior, you name it - I’ve never been able to perfectly apply both lids in under ten minutes.

And so this weekend, while roughing it at a friends house in the woods, I was confused when she emerged after three minutes in the bathroom with perfectly applied cat-eyes. “Um, excuse me,” I asked, “how did you do that?”

“Bobbi Brown liquid eyeliner gel,” she said. So I bought it Monday morning, on my way to work no less, and have been using it these three days and love it so much that if I was the kind of girl who carried make-up in my purse, this would be the make-up.

It’s insanely easy to apply and it stays pitch black all day. Also, it doesn’t move - I know this because I furiously rubbed my eyes from exhaustion yesterday and it was still there afterward.

So if you’re already addicted to it, great, if not, check it out.

I use Covergirl Line Exact Liquid liner. It's like a tiny little marker and works wonderfully. Stays in place, does not smudge, but comes off easily when you want it to with soap + water.

espresso is great to wear for everyday use. by far the best gel liner out there. make sure you keep it upside down to keep from drying up, if it does break it up with the back of an eyeliner brush

Did you buy the brush aswel as the eyeliner? The brush seems quite expensive. But i really want this eyeliner,

Um yes this is without a doubt the best liner! Its the one Alexa Chung uses and I bought it after she mentioned she uses this brand because she has the most perfectly lined eyes ever!

literally wearing bobbi brown as i write this...its totally easier than liquid liner. using an eyeliner brush instead of a pen or pencil, in my opinion, is always easier.

yes the bobbi brown is the best, and I am a makeup idiot. you definitely have to get the brush, too...

i just got back from the aesthetician's office - she did some insane things to my face - and it's STILL on!
anyway, i didn't buy the bobbi brown brush because i have a great one from stila. i know they're expensive but they're an amazing investment and make your make-up look a million times better!

you'll never know how awesome it is that you wrote this- i have this problem with eyeliner, in that i love it, but totally missed the moment in life where someone shows me how to use it.

it's always off above my one eye in a half-moon shape by the end of the work day, and seeing as how i barely get a chance to eat at work, i need makeup that i don't have to reapply every 10 minutes. i think i will invest in this-- thanks again! :)

Check out MAC's fluidlines, too (especially if you want to expand your palette beyond Bobbi Brown's neutrals). I use Blitz & Glitz on a fairly regular basis. And the MAC 266 brush is AMAZING.

I LOVE this stuff, application is all in the balance - lean your elbow on a windowsill and voila!

Liquid liner is all I use. Loveee it. A good tip is use pencil liner first to help you. Works every time :)

Good lord, woman! Didn't anyone ever tell you that "furiously rubbing your eyes" for any reason whatsoever stretches the fragile skin around your eyes and is the fastest way to end up looking like Madelyn Albright?

I'm a huge fan of this stuff. Saves me tons of time on application, and I look like someone who actually spends time on her makeup. What's not to love?

i have indulged in bobbi browns gel liner and loved it! but recently i decided to give loreal's HIP gel liner a chance.....it works JUST as well but only costs like, 11 dollars. i cannot tell the difference between the two. same quality, better price.
