Ode to Knowing
How do I love thee? Let me enumerate:
One, you began as my sister's, and then you were mine.
Two, you were my fragrance of choice during a weird time in my life.
Three, now whenever I smell you, I immediately feel guilty, woodsy, and hot (it was summer).
Four, I have no idea where you are now, as you did not make it in the last move - are you among the box of old underwear, where you were hidden, in case my sister came by? Or in a wayward Acme bag packed by a friend and left in Ma's Attic in the U-Haul of life?
Five, wearing you made me feel like I was classy, even when wearing Those Boots with That Skirt.
And that, most of all, is why I love thee.
Because it makes for very funny pictures on Facebook.
