Taylor Momsen & Jen Kao for Pretty Reckless

little j rocks jen kao fall 09.jpgSo Little J Taylor Momsen’s collaborating with Jen Kao.

Momsen’s the singer in her band, Pretty Reckless, and they’re in need of costumes for their summer tour (going on tour at fifteen sounds crazy).

We didn’t know the Gossip Girl actress dabbled in design off set and we’re kind of impressed that her first foray into the industry is with the super talented and kind of under-the-radar Jen Kao.

Jen collaborated with jewelry designer Eddie Borgo for Fall 09 - only her third full collection - on a tight and successful edit of triangle-themed dresses.

Celebrity clothing lines are usually a disaster but this one’s full of promise.

if that outfit is an example of a hot new celebrity line perhaps she should take a correspondence course from Parsons first.

She seems like such a wannabe. There is something about her that seems too forced. Also I feel like this "collaboration" is going to be pretty one sided. Especially since the link says Jen is already doing sketches, what's Little J doing?

Also maybe I'm just peeved, because i am about her age and have been sewing and making clothes forever and its annoying to see someone get cred off someone else designs.

I think its funny how her style just like a year ago was kind of bad, like the things she wore to events were so boring and almost tacky. Once Jenny's character's style got, well more rebellious, so did Taylor's. Just does not seem that natural, for both the character and the actress.

I am impressed that Little J does anything outside of Gossip Girl. Also, I know a great up and coming performer that is also only 15, on tour and probably rocks out way better than Taylor can, Check out Shiloh @ http://www.myspace.com.shilohofficial
