The Date is Set, But Where’s Pat?

sex and the city the movie shot.jpgThe rumors have finally been replaced with an actual date: On May 28, 2010, Sex and the City 2 hits the silver screen, though we bet there won’t be a silver hair in sight on screen.

The entire quartet is signed on, as is writer/director Michael Patrick King, but there is one name curiously missing from the list: Patricia Field.

Could the truly over-the-top ensembles of the first edition have nixed Pat from the sequel’s wardrobe planning? If so, we must admit, adding a little mystery to the movie’s costume department might be the rejuvenation they need to get people talking about this…

I have a feeling it's going to be really bad.

It ended so perfectly with the wedding, Charlotte having her own baby. Where else can this story really go?

This smacks of an attempt to catch the train before it finally pulls out of the station. For me the train has already left.

Moving on.

Carrie has to go to Louise's St Luois wedding, and there has to be antoher wedding dress!
I know the wardrobe makes this movie, but outside the fashionista demographic, do you really think the people watching this movie know or care who Pat Field is?

Is it sad that I know that photo is from the "Try these faux nipples" scene?

maybe the absence of Patricia Field has something to do with Vivienne Westwood's reaction to the first movie?

Jennifer Hudson said Louise is moving back to NYC. So there ya go, Wedding dress montage take 2.

Please, can the SEX COLUMNIST actually talk about her SEX LIFE in this one?! I was fuming when she refused to talk about her and Big. That was ridiculous.

Ugh - I am so over this. Why aren't beloved cultural icons ever left to die a dignified death? The first movie wasn't all that great, and now they have even LESS material to work with.
What a terrible idea.

I wouldn't mind not having to see anymore of those awful outfits Samantha was wearing.

And number 2, if there are even other demographics i don't think anyone cares about them because they are so small!
