Thread Social’s Double Duty

Hi Fashionista!

So I was on Gilt Groupe today checking out their Thread Social selection. I’m a huge Thread Social fan and bought some awesome dresses for summer. But then I was on Net-a-Porter, for kicks, and found a few of the exact same pieces for full price!

Like this flower corsage dress is $565 and $168 at the same time or this ruffled grey mini goes from $505 on Net-a-Porter to $158 on Gilt.

How can they get away with that? And who in the world would buy it full price when it’s less than half on Gilt?

Love you guys!

Love Gilt! Just purchased a great Thread Social skirt on there today and my bestie got a great dress. It's so bizarro how Net-a-porter has the same outfits as gilt but cost more than double...such a shame Net-a-porter isnt up to date!

Wait, so... what was this story about? I'd call this an undercover ad except I can't fathom why an already successful company would stoop to this --especially using such an uninspired "voice" to project its image.

So, obviously I got up on the wrong side of bed today, but still, you are FASHIONISTA. Surely you can do better than simply point out that one online retailer sells items at significantly cheaper prices than another? Isn't that what NextTag is for?

I always hear good things about it :D!!! I want to see it too!

Thank you!

Gilt is a good concept.

It is REALLY annoying how they won't ship internationally though. The internet shopping world is a lot bigger than just the US.

@guests 11 and 12: I completely agree. As a potential Canadian customer, I would be willing to drop a lot at Gilt, but they won't ship to me. What's with that? Similar sites like HauteLook will, so it's not like it's impossible.
