London Model Watch

amber le bon.jpgWe produce models as fast as we can, given the fact that you guys steal them away within months.`

We’ve recently lost Agyness, Daisy, Alexa and Karen, so thank goodness our model machine keeps churning out new faces.

Meet Amber Le Bon, daughter of Yasmin and Duran Duran’s Simon LeBon. The combination of her mum’s legs and her dad’s rock star appeal is thoroughly British. And she’s still too young to leave us. It’s no wonder she’s just signed contracts with high street store River Island and Myla, the lingerie brand whose recent ads starred your Lydia Hearst.

Thanks in no small part to her mum’s enviable Alaia collection, she stood out at last night’s Hogan party, even while surrounded by the likes of Beth Ditto, Giles Deacon, Savannah Miller, Lily Cole and Katie Grand.

Thanks to your tiny, pixelated photo i have no idea what she looks like. Could you post a larger one after the jump? her expression looks like that of a spoiled brat, but i have no way of clarifying my speculation that this praise is totally undeserved. Another "brIt" girl- no thanks!!!

I LOVE Le Bon, ever since I saw her in a Teen Vogue blog post back in February. I fell in love with the gorgeous red Moschino coat she was wearing and, of course, her overall style. Very chic. She's stunning! I love that darling white cardigan she's wearing in the above photograph; where is it from?

i'm never one to comment or bash fashionsta. rather, i am usually in defense of the site. however, this post made me so infuriated to the point of comment. "We produce models as fast as we can, given the fact that you guys steal them away within months." What is that?! Your readers steal them? How about your readers let you keep your job? Elitism is the basis of most of this site, and it really is a sad thing. If you would just lose your god damn need to proclaim your place in the fashion industry this site would be exponentially better. Stop making it seem like Agyness, Daisy, or Alexa were ever YOURS. Stop making it seem like you girls have claim or founding rights to or of absolutely anything. If you want to keep your precious little fashion finds, then, um, don't write about them on a major website.

Hi #3: This post was written by our London writer who's referring to a stable of British models who've chosen to re-locate to America. Therefore "we" means Britain and "you guys" means America.

This girl's cute. At least Charley didn't use "across the pond" in this one.

#3, you wrote all that for nothing and now you have eggs on your face.

I found it vaguely confusing like #3, but unlike #3 I thought it was something about a modeling agency and thought to myself, have all these Brits ever been at the same agency? Haha. #3 is crazy.

I'm not going to shame #3 anymore, I think he/she got quite enough. I will say however that this girl is totally blah. I am so sick of celebrity offspring thinking famous genes makes them a model. Or rather all of us for feeding into that bullshit.

Yeah...I'm not seeing it. She's pretty but hardly rememberable, in my humble opinion.

Rashface, No?

I wouldn't say I've never walked into one though.. And what's with making out its such a bad thing to shop at a mall? Most TEENAGERS my age would consider it perfectly normal.

For someone thats 6'1'' and around 185 lbs, I'd say you definately still shop in a Mall..

Ohhhh yep, I went there.

Bring it.

I shop where I work, and I don't look down on people that shop in malls, wasn't it obvious I was just turning the tables?

And if i could afford to shop at GUCCI etc, I wouldn't. Ann Demeulemeester owns my heart, and she always will forever and a day. ♥

lol, everyone should just COMME des FUCKDOWN! And why does everyone think I shop at Gucci? Yes, I need to lose that excess 20 lbs, doing the lemon and cayenne pepper 5 day fast. There's nothing wrong with Sears; I got my sewing machine and tools there.

Rashomon you and those excess 20 lbs. It's like the topic that keeps coming up again and again. I enjoy pastries and work my bum off in ballet so I can enjoy pastries (even though you commented so negatively when admitted to that). I would recommend yoga and pilates if you're not quite ready to go all hardcore.

I’ve seen that this charity auction website has got Disney ‘Mickey Ears’ up for auction designed by Giles Deacon to help raise money for charity. The Mickey Ears are being exhibited in Brix Smith-Start’s boutique START, London. Here’s the link if anyone wants a look,
