People Are Talking

Love is Blind. We Are Not. This Day is Juicy.

Which designer woke up this morning and promptly bashed Kate’s outfit? He “positively hated” it.

Somebody with taste. Although to be honest, last night was awful, fashion-wise, nearly universally. It looked like a bad prom. What happened?

I agree guest #1. I was waiting for my mind to be blown. Most were 'meh' at best.

Yes! Bad prom all the way - especially Jessica Alba. Ugh - it was awful!

I disagree. There were some great looks last night. Lou Doillon looked incredibly in Nina Ricci. Stam, Iman (Chanel, not real Iman who reminded me of an Oscar statuette), Leighton Meester (bless her heart for trying so hard), Karen Elson, Nadja Aubermann, Wek, Sasha P, Lakshmi, Liya Kebede, Kate Beckinsdale. Those were my faves. Most of the outfit fails were due to Marc Jacobs. This was just not the season for the Marc/Louis Vuitton domination at the gala. Or least the looks that were chosen. The worst by far were Madonna and Hathaway. Why they chose those dresses, I'll never understand. But Kate looked awesome. Realistically, if you were her and could wear anything you could imagine, why not wear an oddly asymmetrical shimmery toga-thing with a yard of fabric awkwardly trailing off the shoulder. Better that than some lame bias-cut vaguely BCBG looking prom dress that no matter how many blind nuns it took to sew and embroider, still makes you look like you have no personality or fun with how you dress. Viva Shalom Harlow and her garbage bag couture! It takes a lot of money to look that homeless.

#6 - I thought the same thing. What were they ALL thinking? Horrendous! Even her designs for Topshop would've worked.

Guest #7, I think #6 was trying to be funny. And who uses the word amplifier?!

Bored of Kate. She's grumpy.

I thought most of the dresses were over the top and awesome...only ones I didn't like were Madonna and Leighton.

Loooooooved Kirsten Dunst, though. So, so good.
And the same for Stam and Alex Wek. Am I the only one who just cannot get over how fantastic dark skin always looks with chalky neons?

Aggy looked like an old woman. For the most part, I was utterly disappointed. It seemed the most boring starlets have it in their heads that the met ball is suddenly the place to be. Can't they just stick to the Oscars?

Why does this have to be a blind item? Some of them, I can understand. You might be scared of getting sued or something for calling someone a druggie. But something like this, why?

I think at this point Karl would say "#6 is on crack, hmmm?" But whoever this man is, i agree. And is she preggers? She usually makes more effort, and Anna's dress looked like something from Next.
