Hand Over Your Wallet

seebychloewallet.jpgI’ve been trolling the internet looking for wallets. For Britt. The girl literally stuffs her cash, credit cards, etc into her bag with reckless abandon and zero organization.

It makes me nervous in a “feel like my mom way” every time I see her reach into her bag. Seriously, it’s giving me major agita.

And in the meantime, I’ve realized that my own M by MJ is about a hundred years old and covered in pen marks, so maybe I should upgrade too..

This afternoon I happened upon this darling See by Chloe wallet that just happens to be on sale at Shopbop. It’s not the cheapest, but I have no problem investing in something that I use every single day. And will likely keep for years.

Plus, how happy would this make you every time you saw its bright green color and fun little cutouts?

Britt, however is in the market for something simpler. More like classic Prada or YSL. But if she doesn’t get one soon, I’m going to have to buy her one, if only to stop my multiple daily panic attacks. Feel free to send suggestions.

Such a cute wallet!

I, for one, still worship at the altar of the J.Crew magic wallet. It does it for me :)

Good for you! A nice wallet is an important splurge. I've always believed in "the power of small" and thought that it says a lot about people when they invest in a nice purse and then pull out a beat-up wallet. It's the small things that make the biggest impression!

You might want to hold on the Shopbop purchase and keep an eye on Gilt. They had this wallet on their sale site recently and it was cheaper than the normal Shopbop price.

I bought this wallet a couple weeks ago off netaporter. It's amazing! Totally worth it, and the colour is even more vibrant in person!

So funny - I am just like Britt!! All cash, cards, "wallet items" are floating around in my bag, or my pockets. It's been this way for years. I've just never been a wallet person, but, have been thinking lately it would be a wise investment. I've been eyeing Comme des Garcons, although your See by Chloe is fantastic too. Decisions, decisions!

Bottega Veneta's wallets are superb. They last forever and, in my experience, are totally worth the money.

I am the biggest Prada whore ever, but a year and a half ago I traded my bulky, black wallet in for a small sleek little number from Montblanc, which I still love to this day. Dark orange on the outside and lighter orange on the inside, it has held up remarkably well and contains everything I need, nothing I don't.

Have a great weekend! Xx

I love love love my HOBO wallet. It is fabulous, cost me only about $150, and has lasted for over three years in wonderful condition.

It's not YSL or Prada, but this is a cute wallet that's simple and cute.

I like the yellow because it would be easy to find if you're a big bag person. If you're absolutely a monochrome person, this is a nice black one that doesn't look like something you'd find in your grandfather's back pocket.

Linea Pelle's Dylan wallets are AMAZING! They're fairly priced and always on sale. They also come in so many different colors and are constantly changing colors with seasons. I give them as gifts and everyone loves them. http://www.lpcollection.com/product.php?productid=404&cat=35&page=1

I was just looking at these really gorgeous Versace wallets some weeks back in Seoul airport. They were kind of basic and classy for Versace and I thought they would suit anyone's style but are a little more exciting than your average black wallet.
But my own view with wallets is that it can't have cost than the amount of money you're carrying in it, because in case of robbery I don't want to be more upset over the wallet than by the stuff that was in it. That wouldn't probably look too good...

#12: I agree on those four words: Marc Jacobs Zip Clutch.

Amazing and beautiful. Now the zip clutch has 12 interior card slots, even better than the previous 6.
