Net-a-Porter has models!
The already almost-perfect British shopping site has finally started shooting their clothes, shoes and accessories on actual people (there’s a small office contingent that thinks they’re computer-generated, but they look real to me).
It’s amazing the difference seeing clothes draped on mannequins versus actual people makes, even if the people are of model proportions. And they’ve gone and cropped off their heads to avoid any Shopbop-like distractions.
Meanwhile, Natalie thinks these lips are “modeled on Stam’s” and I think she has too much time on her hands in the woods.

personally, i like to see the dresses on people. but i didn't expect that net a porter does! well... us marketing rules the english website.
the German online mytheresa.com used to copy net-a-porter.com, but it would probably be the unique online store still on mannequins.
interesting business!
