“Thing is, people look much better naked. They’re all the same colour and they can’t screw up. You see someone at the gym and they look great. Then they put on their clothes.” Tom Ford to the Times UK, where he also claims to hate talking about sex.

not really... there are people who are better of with clothes be it thin or fat. u definitely dont want seeing a skinny model showing of all the bones of her ribs and spinal cord also you dont want a fat woman's cellulite. People who are considered ideal/normal look good without clothes and not everyone

i actually sort of agree with him.
skin is beautiful.
this also makes me think of survivor, i know not very fashionista-ish but i always think the people look a lot better all dirty and in skimpy outfits, hair pulled back, men all scruffy, then they have the whatever reunion ending thing and all the people are made up and in clean clothing and they all look ugly.

I think, if you think that the human body is a beautiful thing (universally, no matter the particulars), then it makes sense to view a naked person as lovelier than a clothed person. And I think a positive image of the human body would actually help a designer be a better designer. Because even if you are thin, or fat, or disproportionate, or wrinkled, your body can still do amazing things, like walk and run and dance, and smell and see and feel and hug.
