Vera’s Gonna Dance

vera wang skates and dances with stars.jpgVera Wang’s going to be on Dancing With the Stars, continuing television’s obsession with all things fashion.

The former figure skater will be sixty when the season starts next September. She’s signed on for the waltz and the foxtrot.

We’ve never actually seen the show so our first thought was, “Wow, can’t believe she’s doing this,” and something along the lines of, “This is so much worse than saying ‘fuck’ inside her store.”

But if she is going to do it, we can’t wait to see what frilly bedazzled outfits she whips up to dance her away across TV screens.

that is the most awesome and exciting thing i've heard all day! dancing with the stars is hilarious, but also a really great idea because all of the stars really do become at least halfway decent dancers. i can't wait!

Will Vera design her own costumes? She did make Nancy Kerrigan's glittery dresses way back when.

Can you explain one thing to me...is swearing not allowed in Vera Wang stores? I don't really understand the "fuck" comment haha.

How on Earth will she find time for that show? I guess this shows how designers don't design anymore...

No big deal but better than all that junk at Kohl's.

I'd rather have my wedding dresses by Narciso.

I concur with Calvinshow. What a lapse in judgment.

obviously this will familiarize the world with her name better and therefore increase her sales... i dont like the show at all but its not something that anyone could be ashamed of being on. this will be fun for vera, im glad shes doing it.

yeah, i think it's a great idea! she'll have fun, get basically free publicity, and if she wins she'll get to donate money to the charity of her choice.
