Despite it being fantastically over-exposed these days, we still are fans of Topshop—in particular, their designer colloborations. Of course we love what Richard Nicol, Christopher Kane et al have done with them, but our fave capsule collection has always been that of Emma Cook, the ingenue British designer. And it seems like Ms. Cook has a business head on her shoulders, along with her knack for design. As well as partnering with Topshop, she has hooked her wagon to Splenda, those fake sugar people, by creating a special edition bag for them that will have—you guessed it—a pocket especially designed to carry the new tablets called Sweet Minis. It's not good enough to design these days, you have to come up with some kind of gimmick to get people to take notice.

On that note, it seems like just designing shoes isn't enough either. Jonathan Kelsey, the designer better known for designing shoes for Mulberry, is premiering a short film tomorrow, called, HIGH. We're assuming that refers to heel height and not something more illegal. But it does star that Joanna Preiss—the French model slash actress who has mastered that fucked up look (in politer terms, they call it "edgy".) Enough anyway for Balenciaga to name her as a muse. Wow. We feel high already —CHARLEY B.
