There’s nothing worse than the morning you have to drag your laptop to work or class or in our case, fashion week, and zip it into that ugly synthetic black protector pouch that totally cramps your style.
Well there might be something worse, but it is annoying.
So Paris-based, Italian and New York raised designer Gabriele Corto Moltedo developed a solution. His “pop-art luxe” creations have been catching our eye since 2004 and keep getting cleverer. His AW09 collection features the brilliant “Big Cassette Clutch” inspired by old school tape cassettes. They’re beloved by Giovanna Battaglia and Lindsay Lohan alike and they come in a handful of delicious colors and textures.
They have an eponymous, adorably eccentric boutique in the Jardin du Palais Royal in Paris. If you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of the handsome Corto himself, or you can just swing by Blue and Cream in New York.
Et Voila!

If something is beloved by Lindsay Lohan…should we infer this as a good or bad sign?

I second that, I want also
What a stupid idea. I understand the aesthetic of the clutch, but how is carrying around something that big and unwieldy practical at all??
If I’m going to be lugging around a strapless bag the size of an art portfolio, I might as well carry the damn computer around sans case.
How is it possible that Giovanna and Lindsay Lohan have anything in common? Say it isn’t soooo!
It’s so swell and hip I’m beginning to feel faintly arthritic! Can we clutch the future together, Monica Ainley?
