Yesterday, we shared with you Roberto Cavalli’s quote about his carefree nature when it comes to the economic crisis, costs, and how we’ll all get through it with a little positivity.
During the couture shows in Paris yesterday, Cavalli also announced plans to launch a custom business for his clients, who also don’t have to worry about high prices at the moment (and of course we realize these still exist): Roberto Cavalli Saint-HonorĂ©.
Eva Cavalli told WWD, “Clients who want a special outfit from Cavalli now will know that they can obtain it.” She made clear this is not the start of a couture collection.
Like we said, we realize there is still an enormous amount of wealth in the world. And we are thoroughly happy that the couture season is indeed soldiering on in Paris.
Though considering all the problems Roberto has had with his Just Cavalli line and license, perhaps he should start paying a little more attention to that rascally bottom line. And to the times in general because these dresses will start at over $40,000.
But, hey, we’re no financial whizzes either, so maybe those Excel spread sheets are telling his people that this is a good decision.

I’m sorry but I don’t understand a $40,000 dress!! I just don’t. Maybe it’s because of Midwestern working class upbringing but this just sounds REDONK. And I can’t even remember the last time I was impressed with something Cavalli did.
If I had the money I totally would buy one but I dont. Anyway to understand the woman that buy Haute Couture : http://dreamlovely-anne.blogspot.com/2009/06/how-to-dress-like-lady-ii-haute-couture.html
