You know, Rosie H.W. is pretty and all, but her modeling always seems rather flat to me. Her interpretation of sexy never strays too far from the tired chest-out-ass-up formula. This editorial is better than others I've seen, but it still lacks the profound sense of subtlety that elevates nudity above its obvious associations. I mean, sex is great and all, but if it's all you've got to offer, then you're not saying much new. When it comes to summer editorials as familiar as this one--sand, architecture, tough chic, and heels are not, after all, untrodden ground--you got to have modeling that does NOT jump to the most obvious conclusion. I've frankly never seen R.H.W. do that.
