fashionista fall09 interns.jpg

So you want to be a Fashionista intern? Fall’s kind of the perfect time to do it. There’s this little thing called Fashion Week and our brilliant and beloved summer interns are skipping town mid-August which means we’ll need your help.

If you’re —

a) obsessed with fashion
b) obsessed with models
c) know so much about the two that your friends make fun of you
d) think curling up with V or breaking out the French dictionary to get through Carine’s Vogue is the best time ever
e) understand why we continue to write Adventures in Copyright and always will
f) love Clueless, ice cream and french fries
g) this is maybe most boring, but kind of most important, love to write - this internship is the most fun thing in the whole world, but only if you love to write!

— then you are the perfect intern and we want you in the office stat.

E-mail your resume to work@fashionista.com and tell us the other reasons you’re perfect & we’ll be in touch!

Possibly a dumb question - do we have to be in NYC? Can we just fly in for fashion week?

I could be your menswear satellite intern on the West Coast! Having a writer dedicated to menswear coverage could bring something new to the site, maybe just a weekly article or something... Are there other guys reading this site other than me?

Well I'm from the East but I live in San Diego: fashion capital of the world if by fashion you mean Pierre Hardy.

Hi, do you have to be out of school in order to intern? I go to High School, but I live in New York and would absolutely love to get the chance to intern.

Britt ou Abby,

Must one be able to get credit for this internship and is it imperative that one be American? Just some thinks and thunks that if answered would influence my actions and whether or not it would be worth it to you to read my resume.

Shanksh,
Rox

Ugh why do I go to school in Pittsburgh?

And I don't even need to crack out the dictionary for all things wonderful and French. Or Italian.

Argh. Just like everyone else, this job and I are a perfect fit. It's kind of infuriating because I'm from New York and chose to go to school in Philadelphia. Grr.

And to point #2 (obsessed with models), it's gotten to a point where I can literally open any magazine and name all the models inside, from cover to cover. My friends really do make fun of me for that.
