10 Questions For Project Runway

projectrunwaytimgunnninagarciaheidiklum.jpgWe didn’t get a chance to watch the first episode until last weekend. Our apologies for not recapping. But we’re back to analyzing Heidi, Tim, Nina and the gang as they take over FIDM and Lifetime.

1. Where’s Michael? You know he would have had some zingers for Malvin’s sling, Mitchell’s shorts, and Ra’mon’s darts.

2. What up with the chicken fetish, Malvin?

3. Don’t you bet Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn have really fun date nights? Bowling perhaps?

4. Speaking of Rebecca, isn’t it still hard to remember to drop the Stamos from her name?

5. Did Qristyl (don’t even get me started on the spelling of her name) actually call something outdated and then show up to the runway wearing what looked like a full-length patchwork leather skirt and a really bad jean jacket?

6. How very Liftetime was this episode with its baby bumps, maternity wear and View-like all lady judging panel?

7. Is anyone clever or funny this season? Ra’Mon and Mitchell, maybe…but I’m still not sold. The shout-out to Stella and her “leathuh” was much appreciated though.

8. Althea, you do realize that someone goes home every week, right? So it’s really not all that surprising.

9. Is it really that confusing to figure out where the baby “goes” in terms of a woman’s body?

10. Are we in for trouble/boredom now that we’ve lost the wackies in the first two weeks? Godspeed Ari/Sam Ronson and Malvin, you crazy hen lover, you.

Tell me...seriously.. why do they keep Mitchell around. Twice have the gotten rid of the most creative of the final two standing. I was very much looking forward to seeing what Ari and more so Malvin had to offer.

OMG, thank you for pointing out the Sam Ronson/Ari resemblance. I saw it right away, and found it incredibly amusing that Lindsay Lohan was the judge. Of course I pointed it out to my bf, but he has no idea who Sam Ronson is, so he just thought I was a little crazy

I get the feeling they let Michael Kors sit this one out because they wanted an all-mommy judging panel. But it would still have been fun to hear what he'd have said to some of those outfits. And I really really wish they'd get rid of Mitchell. Did anyone else notice that both of his outfits have been in the same color palette? And it's not even a good one.

I miss The Hills 10 Questions. That show is horrendous to watch, but I always looked forward to Fashionista commentary.

I wonder when it is coming to Canada. I still don't like that the show is taking place in Los Angeles.

Mitchell is a sorry excuse to be a contestant on that show. I do like the fact that he KNOWS he has no talent so he feels the need to be "funny" and "cute" every chance he gets. And don't get me started on Qrystle. I have to ask who does she design for? Oh the sexy-size as she calls it? Well honey, there is nothing SEXY about your lack in taste. Time for these two to GO.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED that Lindsay and Samantha made appearances for the first episode. Nothing like a lesbian and her crackwhore/Actress girlfriend on the Ladies Channel. Bravo!

Comment #3- You should just be happy your boyfriend even watched project runway!! I won't even attempt to watch when my husband is home. I learned my lesson after he sat through an episode of Gossip Girl.

I kinda liked Malvin... but his design was not wearable at all. That episode was lame. I don't give a shit about Maternity wear. Snooooooze. Nothing really truly impressed me last night. All was very safe.

Malvin actually kind of got on my nerves, but I must say that I was surprised they sent him home. Saying that Mitchell barely squeaked by is an understatement. He has brought two nearly unwearable outfits to the runway -and I believe someone even said he had designed maternity wear commercially before so that was just an abomination. Maybe it's part of the big switch over to Lifetime that is somewhat responsible for axing the creative yet over-the-top ones in favor of the safer, more realistic yet BAD designers.

mitchell: the colors are too bright, but in the darkest way... the look is just over done, just not done enough. i know what looks good on a woman.

Mitchell's god awful, I can't believe they are keeping him, he's not even entertaining, he's just another delusional twit who thinks God put him on this Earth to be a Great Designer. Um, no.
I didn't miss Michael Kors at all, that fat fur using old man! I don't know how Tim Gunn even speaks to him, Michael's so gauche and common!
