We Want Our MTV

alexa chung it's on.jpg So if you’re still wondering what I look like, you can watch It’s On With Alexa Chung on Monday and find out.

(But be gentle please, I fly under the radar because you guys can be, like, way harsh.)

We’re taking Fashionista to the small screen and hosting a live action Would You Wear segment on Alexa’s new show. She’ll be covering more and more fashion and we’re excited to be involved in the early stages. It’s on MTV at noon for those of you unemployed, or you can watch it online.

Alas, I still don’t have a TV, so let me know how it goes.

Wow Britt that's actually exciting. I watch the show from time to time and I have to say it's great. Alexa is such a sweetheart. Will definately tune in on Monday. Have fun :)

Hah, Britt is right. Fashionista is kind of the anti-Sea of Shoes, comments-wise. Jane's comments are nearly uniformly droolingly positive, whereas Fashionista tends toward the "flaming bitchfest" end of the spectrum. I wonder why that is?

guest 20, probably guess janes a (sixteen?) year old kid, and fashionista's writers dont really have a "face" if you know what i mean, its much easier to be a bitch to them.

soilikethelike: On the other hand, it seems like Rumi, the face of Fashion Toast, gets her share of 'you look whorish in that dress' kind of comments... they still pale in comparison to the kind of unwarranted nastiness that you see on here sometimes.

I'm #20, back again.

I don't know, Peter... maybe it's because Fashionista takes (or took) a cattier tone for their posts? Does it bring something out in people? I can't really see internet flamers sparing Jane because of her youth, so to speak.

It may also simply be that Jane is a lot less "controversial" than the Fashionista girls. They like to get people arguing with the AIC posts, etc. Jane's just like, "Hey, I'm a rich girl from Texas with lots of clothes and shoes. Check out the pictures." People who probably read Vogue for exactly the same sort of content anyway can only get so offended over that sort of thing, I guess.
