Mid-Day Snack

cat and abbey nippleringgate.jpgNow You See It: Photographer Greg Kadel shot an editorial titled Come As You Are for Australian Vogue and released an early shot to models.com. In the actual magazine, they’ve airbrushed out Abbey Lee & Cat McNeil’s nipple rings. So, the title’s kind of funny. {Frockwriter}

About That: Those Sex and the City auditions were yesterday. Here’s a sampling of the crowd looking to linger behind SJP & Co. in the film’s sequel. {Interview}

Babies’in’Fashion: Cynthia Rowley’s designing a line of baby clothes for Babies’R’Us. It’s called Hooray, launches in 2009 and she’s been “dying to do baby clothes for a long time.” Because designing bibs and diaper bags gives her something a runway doesn’t? {PRNewswire}

Better & Better & Better:
As if there’ll be a moment to breathe during London Fashion Week, now you’ll have to squeeze in the National Portrait Gallery’s Twiggy exhibition. {Telegraph}

McQueen’s McMansion?: There are reports that this is Alexander McQueen’s London home. We can’t remember if we’ve actually seen pictures of his house or if we’ve just imagined it, but surely it didn’t look like this. {Fashionologie}

Steven Kolb’s a fan of J.Crew? Can a corporate brand land a CFDA spot? {FWD}

Is there anybody out there? I'm a wayward Dealbroken soul, searching endlessly for lovely BL to return. Instead I'm left with two BMs.

Jenna Lyons is one of the new CFDA inductees this year. So yes, a corporate brand can land a CFDA spot.

Dear Fashionista,

I understand you may have a "whatever goes" office setting where you are encouraged to scour the internet for the newest editorials. Unfortunately, for many of us minions who work in corporate america, we cannot view risque photos such as the one in the header of this post. Is it so difficult to put a "not suitable for work" warning before you post stuff like that? This one wasn't even attached to a link; it was simply there as I loaded your webpage. While it is beautiful and I cannot wait to see the full piece, I now need to explain to my cube-mate why I'm looking at "porn" online. Please understand that we WANT to visit your site. But in all honesty, why would I risk my career by doing so?

Just something to please keep in mind for future posts. Thank you.

...It looks like we've been infiltrated by dowdy law people in lumpy blue sweaters who probably think Club Monaco is couture.

Infiltrated by pubescent people with the wit of a 13yr old middle school boy. Really @15? Your name is clever.

Definitely a WTF are these comments about moment.

#16 - maybe you shouldn't be browsing Fashionista during work? How's that sound to you?
