Miss Lanvin’s Coming Out

lanvin ceramic dolls.jpgMeet Miss Lanvin.

Franz Porcelain’s just sent us a peek of their new collection of thirteen dolls, made in collaboration with the house and Alber. They say, “While Elbaz has revitalized the fashion house, he, like Lanvin, still appreciates tradition. Part of that tradition includes a strong affection for dolls.”

We’re not familiar with Lanvin’s doll tradition, but we are familiar with those dresses and something’s definitely lost in porcelain translation. They’re being produced in a limited run of 800 dolls each, for $210 to $375, but we can’t even imagine one hundred people who would pay that much when they could put a pair of Lanvin shoes on their life size feet for that price (on sale).

Though that guy Stanford dated in season three - the one whose bed was full of dolls - totally would. Maybe they can put him in the next movie? Yeah, the heat is really getting to us.

although i would take actual lanvin over anything, any day...this is a good compromise for those of us with parents who are hell-bent on buying those precious moments/sad-clown figurines...to "pass on to our children someday".

I think they're cute - only thing lost in translation is your taste and sarcasm on this post. I called trying to get one and turns out 3 of the designs are already sold out. Alors Brit - Ferme Ta Guelle!
