Rachel, 23, Profession: “up in the air”
Got Her: Strolling down Mott, pre-rain.
Stalked Her: Because really, when a dress that bright walks by, you can’t help but stalk – at least with your eyes.
Shot Her: Because nothing says summer like a floral maxi dress and now it feels like summer’s almost over; we had to capture the moment.
She Said: “I love anything full of color – and florals. I never wear black.”
We Say: Thanks for brightening our day!

I’m usually with you guys but on this one I think you guys are WRONG like seriously wrong I get that its floral and its summer and its a maxi dress so yes it should make sense but it’s not pretty at all…..sorry just being honest. better luck next time
Have to agree with post 1 – usually I love the streetwalker posts, but this dress looks straight from the 70′s, and not in the cool almost hippie way.
yeah. gonna have to agree w/ 1 & 2. This is not a good look for anyone.
Umm no.
is this a prank post?
….and somewhere in Ohio a farm is missing its milkmaid…
It looks like something straight out of Mrs. Roper’s closet! I am all for maxi dresses and 70′s inspired or vintage but this is just awful.
I never liked that Tracy Feith dress from Target. I’d have to disagree with you guys on this one.
I agree with everyone else. I love me some colours and florals but this one is bad.

Looks like my late grandmother’s house dress from the 60′s..but not in the good way. If you can’t pick out a good streetwalker some days I say: why bother?? Sorry…it’s almost frustrating b/c one looks at their own outfit or what they were wearing that day and think, NO why not me?! Look at me instead!!
P.S. lol to nycshoegal
who in nyc never wears black?
this is absolutely terrible, from her frizzy updo to her frumpy shoes… and everything in between.

Not really. She’s cute but the dress is unfortunate.

What really blows my mind is that before leaving for work today, she did a once over and the mirror and didn’t think twice. And then these people take her picture to post on a fashion blog.
All in all, this can be described as a classic fashion DISASTER.
Agreed! Not cute at all. Maybe if the dress were shorter….
I’ve worked in fashion for decades, and a basic tenet is that if EVERYONE agrees that it’s bad,
well then, that means it’s absolutely cool.
Thanks for the unintentional trendspotting, you guys!
she got the gimme coffee right though!!!! mmmm
Awww… the dress is not that bad, though I would like it a lot better withouth the ruffles at the top and with another bag.
Oh my god, she looks seriously cute!!! Happy and bright… I love the pastel purple bag with the brights of her dress too. Obviously not everyones style… but what fun would it be if everyone pleased everyone?
#18 – where in fashion do you work? Sears?
I used to work with rachel! She’s so sweet and loves tracy feith. I’ve yet to see the dress look good on anyone but she pulls it off nicely I think.
If Laura Ingalls Wilder here had cut the dress half as short or turned it into a romper and put on some platform espadrilles, it might have worked.
I think it’s cute, but I also don’t agree with what commenters on this site consider fashionable.
When I saw the girl in the sloppy pink Samantha Ronson shirt with the bathing suit under it and denim cut offs who looked like she was going to the beach, I thought “man, this girl will get trashed,” yet everyone loved it. Was it just that she looked like a model? I seriously just don’t understand the aesthetic here.
I love it! It’s exactly what I wore when I was four and my uncle came back after being stationed in Hawaii bearing gifts. Love her smile! So wrong it’s right. Surfer Girl in the City … A+
I think the dress is cute, it’s just a look that’s a complete 180 from NYC. If you were chilling somewhere with a more natural landscape, on a bright, happy, sunny day, this could work just fine.
have to agree that if so many folks think it’s awful, then it must be really f***ing awesome! way to have some gusto and not just throw on denim cutoffs and a black tank top…
