Oh no.
When designers and their commercially successful brands started heading back to London Fashion Week in honor of the British Fashion Council’s 25th Anniversary, our first concern was the probable influx of international editors — the stuffy kind who usually skip London because it’s way too fun and way too crazy.
But now Grazia‘s given us a whole other reason to whine. They’re reporting a “planned mass showbiz exodus” to Topshop Unique’s front row. And the word “mass” isn’t being used lightly, rumored so far are Blake Lively, Taylor Momsen, Olivia Palermo, Anne Hathaway, the Olsens, Whitney Port, Kate Bosworth and Lourdes Ciccone.
Far more disturbing than the fact that Olivia Palermo and Whitney Port are included in that circle that what was a pretty much paparazzi free, easy going week with one or two welcome celebrities – Emma Watson, Sienna Miller – will now be a shit show.
Also, the underground garage Topshop’s used for the past few seasons just can’t hold that many people. Maybe they’re taking up residence in a wing of Somerset house? And really? Do people in London even know about Whitney and Olivia?

As a Londoner, yes people know about Whitney and Olivia. They are mostly featured in said weekly magazine Grazia and their lesser counterpart Look magazine. Having said that, I don’t know a single person who has ever watched The City. Amen.
That’s because Kelly Cutrone is handling the PR for London Fashion Week – remember? Lame.
ooh, nice catch, aurora!
maybe fashion people should start going to auditions. just to be seen, you know.
