10 Questions for Project Runway

I’m not sure how many fashion brain cells I’m still working with, so forgive me if I’m a little punchy!

1. Lifetime, you realize Michael Kors is one of the stars of this show, right? WTF? I don’t want to have to ask this question again next week.

2. Also, did you know it would grate on the last nerve I have left this week to bring Eva Longoria Parker to the show? Ugh. Well, it did. So thanks for that.

3. Why not use Booth, the actual fashion critic as one of the judges? You know the woman that does this sort of thing for a living at one of the country’s major newspapers.

4. Why was anyone surprised that the recovering meth addict was also a liar? I mean, I’m glad the guy got sober, but I’m sure he’s well-practiced in the art.

5. And how awesome was it when Tim got all “incredulous” about the whole thing? I love pissed off TG.

6. How much would you NOT want to wear paper slippers? I’ll stick with cashmere, thanks.

7. Did anyone else think Althea’s dress actually looks like everything Renee Zellweger’s ever worn on a red carpet, usually by Carolina Herrera, not Eva?

8. How serious was that body armor bodice on Christopher’s dress? Loved it and starting to really love him.

9. Will they ever learn to give us some detail shots on this show? I wish we could have seen Irina’s trompe l’oeil Sharpie stitches.

10. Is anyone watching Models of the Runway?

I'm wondering if Lifetime wouldn't agree to pay Michael and Nina as much so they are appearing less? Do you know?

Watched Models of the Runway for 5-7 minutes after the first episode. Hopefully I'll never have to watch it again.

I miss MK so much. They did actually show the Sharpie stitches briefly, when Tommy was commenting that he didn't like the tape on the back. You couldn't pay me to watch Models of the Runway.

then bravo is the reason for nina and michael missing from episodes?

I thought the trompe-l'oeil stitches were really witty and cute when I saw them on Project Rungay. Some other people thought they were stupid, but I liked that Irina had a sense of humor.

I'm really big on Christopher and Irina. I also think Ra'mon is one of the more talented, but he keeps veering into weird unitards (see next week's preview). He won't stay on long if he can't check himself.

Also, Models of the Runway is terrible, not least of all because they keep knocking off the cutest, most talented models. Yosuzi (the first one to go) was one of the more striking, and now Emarie is gone, and I adored her. Also, it seems like the models of color are slowly disappearing, and what was a diverse group is getting whiter and whiter.

#4, #7. Sigh. Addicts DO lie. It's a huge part of being an addict. Don't get all righteous.

I actually watch Models because I like to see the designers pick their models. Although I would like to see more of when Heidi has her little chat with them. I wish they would be more candid with her because we all know there's more going on than they say there is.

LOVED Tim Gunn's indignation!

Seriously, this show SUCKS now! Designers are meh, clothes are boring, guest judges are unbelievably corny. I'm so over it, and over lifetime. Gonna call it a night for Project Runway. I think it's just about kicked the can.

finally watched it.

Agree with you 100%... I love angry/ betrayed Tim.

That meth addict is a liar who keeps using his past addiction to stay on longer. Ra'mon is not as consistent as he should be. I watched models on the runway that first week and it made me fall asleep- it's essentially pieces of PR but stretched out which is mindblowingly awful- stick to your 1 good show instead of branching out Heidi and slacking on PR (WhereTF is MK? Nina?) Eva? Seriously.

I do enjoy Zoe Glassner though.

Why don't you get some interesting people in fashion with an EYE, not some hideous hollywood clone.

Kate Lanphear anyone?
