I have a well-documented love/hate relationship with earrings. I’ve literally had my ears pierced like six different time since I first got them done back when I was 10. I get fed up with earrings, they close up, and then I get obsessed with some pair or style and decide to get them pierced again.
It’s a stupid cycle that I realize could be easily fixed by wearing the same small simple pair on an everyday basis. But for some reason this just doesn’t work for me. It’s like some sort of mental block.

The super long, sparkly, dangling Lulu Frost versions that Erin Fetherston used with a number of looks in her S/S 10 show reignited my earring lust. And then I found this incredibly affordable gunmetal chain pair by Madewell over on Shopbop.
Now I just have to figure out where to get them pierced in this mall-less town. And don’t even think I’m going to Manhattan Mall–that place scares the bejeezus out of me. It’s just so out of place.
