There was internet on my bus back from Boston last night, which led to loads YouTubing in place of much needed sleep.
I found this – a really well made video of Erin Wasson circa 2008 working on Alex Wang’s AW08 collection, dressing models, smoking cigarettes, talking about AMFAR and explaining her decision to document everything on video, “I have a really shitty short term memory and when I’m old with Alzheimer’s I want to be able to like remember how dope and youthful I was.”

She seems to have a chronic lack of a sense-of-humor, though I guess that ‘homeless’ comment she made a while back was inadvertently pretty funny.
The “homeless” comment definitely changed my perception of her. She just seems….strange.
I remember when Erin was first in Vogue and had androgynous short hair and the prettiest face since Christy Turlington, and I wanted so much to like her.
But then I got wind of her forced badass routine and general tactlessness (“when I’m old with Alzheimer’s I want to be able to like remember how dope and youthful I was”?? STFU and STFD, Erin) … plus the jewelry-design stealing, and now every single time I see her I roll my eyes. She is absolutely insufferable.
It’s comical how enamored she is with herself.
yeah i used to like her a lot. i agree with another poster- her bad girl image is so forced. i will say that i generally like her style though. and does anyone know what the name of that remix starting at 2:51 is?
She’s beautiful and everything, but I have to agree with the other posters. I don’t really buy her bad-girl image. Smoking does not a bad girl make. Sorry, Erin.

the editing is fantastic. but the smoking is aging her face big time. how can you do that to your face? you would think that girls would be paranoid about wrinkles in this business……they are coming faster if you smoke.
