Foxy Roxy

roxyss10-7.JPGOne of the most annoying things about fashion is working ahead of the seasons. It’s a major bummer when Spring/Summer is on the runway in a big, dramatic McQueen way, and there’s a wintry mix at home. Ugh.

But I have to say that the S/S Roxy presentation made me and many other editors very happy yesterday evening. If you like being bohemian with a bit of a ’90s spin to it, then you are in for a real treat with this collection. If not, there are still lots of pieces for you to love. The purses and shoes really had me going…until I saw some of the rompers and easy dresses. Holy Deadhead meets Cobain!

So, split seasonal sartorial personalities aside, I also highly recommend this location—Saturdays Surf NYC on Crosby— for good coffee and some advice on your new board. And cute boys.

See you there!

boring, and cupcake's right - cheap (looking). also, those shoes look an awful lot like tom's...for a website that takes so much pride in calling out copycats, i'd think you'd delight in calling out a brand copying a brand like tom's, whose shoes are not only very specific in style but also incorporates charity into every shoe sale.

Eh, I feel so-so about this. I do very much like the styling of the ligher, more neutral colors (grays, olives) with the bright accessories. I also love the denim romper and the dress from photo #2.

But the rest of it looks cheap and childish, the leather on the bags horribly fake, and I agree with the guest above me that the shoes look an awful lot like Toms. I find it hypocritical that you would endorse such shoes, considering the flurry of AIC posts there always are.

they're espadrilles people...and those have been around long before Tom's. i wouldn't buy them, but i think they fit with the rest of the collection.
