“But Ms. Lohan’s arrival at a 45-year-old Paris house known for $1,500 dresses and a tradition of couture craftsmanship is entirely different, something akin to a McDonald’s fry cook taking the reins of a three-star Michelin restaurant.” —The New York Times’ Eric Wilson in his review of Emanuel Ungaro.

Im sorry guys, but we here in LA don't like Lindsay either. She is not loved here, nor does she make sense here.
What did Ungaro think they were getting? She is a famous person and that is ALL. She has no technical design skill or point of view. It's shameful that they could give someone like Lohan the title "artistic director". She doesn't know anything about fashion or design.

Thank you miniminx. My heart completely sank when I ran guest #1's post. Do people think Los Angeles loves LiLo? It is completely false...in fact, we probably hate her more than any other city because we have to deal with her. She is at our clubs, our restaurants...taking up space in our city. She is a complete joke in LA which is why none of the designers here have asked her to work on a collection with them.

I loved this review in the Times! It's so true... I understand that she brings a lot of publicity (especially when Ungaro's show is being called the spectacle of Paris Fashion Week), but after that all dies down, it ultimately hurts the brand! I hope they clean that up soon, because this brand is known for so much more than what we've seen in this runway show.
...So sad :(

I'm just going to say it:
GO BACK TO L.A. LILO
you are loved there, you make sense there.
in new york or paris or any other serious city you are as relevant as a used condom.
