Ever since shooting our video with Sasha Charnin Morrison and her fabulous closet, I have become fixated on anoraks—she had a ton in that closet.
I just love their casual, slouchy chicness. Luckily, they’re kinda everywhere right now.
I picked up a couple at Old Navy that have come in very handy during the windy days we’ve had here in New York this week. And this afternoon, I discovered this perfect anorak dress over on Piperlime.
It’s a jacket…and a dress…and it’s only $79. What a very happy Friday indeed. Long live the season of the anorak.

I, I, I… why are all of Abby’s articles about her?!
Yessss I got an enormous white anorak yesterday…I didn’t even realize they were “everywhere” now. Not paying attention as usual…
p.s Shush no. 1 she’s giving her opinion. I actually prefer it to the awkwardly regal “we” that they use sometimes.
This seems like it would be wildly unflattering on. Every time I see something displayed on a mannequin I get suspicious.
Almost a year and a half ago I bought one of these in Japan. Its sort of a peachy nude silk and super comfortable and soft. And it has these huge slouchy pockets that I just love. I feel like the really nice fabric makes up for any sloppyness that an anorak might give off. Best of all, it was $80 on sale for…$20!!
no. 3- I think the key is to get one in a nice drape-y material so it doesn’t look like you just borrowed your mom’s raincoat.
