10 Questions for Project Runway

10questionsprojectrunwayseason6finale.jpgAnd…scene. Boy, was this a painful season of PR. We’re not sure we can be convinced to go back for more. But we will keep you spoiler-free in the meantime.

1. Did you look at Heidi and think “Holy Pink!?”

2. Nina’s face at Irina during judging, who didn’t love it?

3. Really, that much black wasn’t a conscious decision? Really? It’s not necessarily wrong, but c’mon.

4. When you saw the black headbands, didn’t you just think Carmen Kass in every single Michael Kors show you’ve ever seen?

5. Were you mad when Tim didn’t reference Balenciaga re: the shoulders?

6. Speaking of Tim, who didn’t love his minor freak out? You know the man that helped Jack and Lazaro create their thesis collection must want to lose it with these people on a regular basis.

7. Do you think Joanna Coles was pissed that Heidi didn’t reference Marie Claire when she introduced Nina?

8. Should Georgina Chapman just hire Carol Hannah at Marchesa now or what?

9. How far removed are we all from A/W 2009? Obviously, we’re living it. But that lawsuit really sucked the life out of this season.

10. Do you think the right lady won?

I thought for sure someone would remark on Althea's wearing SLIPPERS (or ugg booties or whatever) on the runway when introducing her collection. She looked like a college girl who just rolled out of bed. Granted, she changed in to proper shoes to make her runway walk at the end, but still.

I think Irina deserved to win; the others' clothing was so-so; kind of uninteresting, though Carol Hannah's long blue dress was a pretty color.

Dull season, unexciting designers... I'm not watching next season. Waste of time.

^^ I literally stopped and said "OH MY GOD. THE GIRL FROM OHIO IS WEARING UGGS ON THE RUNWAY." That broke my heart as I was rooting for my fellow Ohioan.

I loved Tim's meltdown. I'm sure it would have been more fab if he completely lost it by shaking a makeup artist and throwing powder up in the air before storming out onto the runway himself presenting the 1 look Tim Gunn collection.

You know what, considering how crappy this season has been, I wasn't expecting much at all. But I was pleasantly surprised.

I thought the season was seriously boring..Irina was the best of not best..Nina told her to add color to the collection..Irina chose to ignore the advise..shame..Planet of the Apes hats were silly..had a major 90's moment with Irina..Althea's collection looked lost in a maze..which way should I go..Carol Hannah's was a roller coaster ride..witty..cute..boring..witty..boring..cute

Althea's collection isn't as horrid as everyone has implied and Carol Hannah is not as good as everyone has claimed (in the blogosphere). I agreed with Nina, though, that Althea's collection had a separates vibe, which I suppose is considered commercial. The blue, 13th-look dress CH made was the best of her stuff. Carol Hannah's dress world was the most boring for me. I think Irina should considered making just coats and outerwear, maybe sweaters though she should recognize that she didn't invent the big sweater. Her collection had too many clothes for the girlfriend of a plutocrat. Not young at all. I suppose that's okay, but...not fashion forward. Heidi's suit was ugly, but I wish I could look that good in a bad pink suit.

Really dull season! I hope next season they go back to NY, that city is magical! I think Irina deserved to win, she was the only one who had a COLLECTION that was actually cohesive! Oh yeah, and OMFG on Althea's boots, they might be comfortable, but honey, come on! I think Carol Hannah didn't really have a collection, she just sent a bunch of clothes down the runway. I must say, she does make a mean gown. Marchesa should totally hire her!

Very difficult season to get thru. If it continues to dissapoint next season, I am tuning PR out of my life - FOREVER. The right person won - good job Irina. Although it was not the most original, you have to praise the girl for a cohesive (I think the only one out of the three) collection, some great accessories and all the black. I love a black collection, but that's just me.

Also - who does not love Nina wiping away those tears near the end? Priceless!

I agree Jean... So many times I wanted to turn the channel, but stuck with it because I a PR fan. This season's challenges were a disappointment, the final designers were boring (Logan needed to have gone home waaaay sooner) and the early eliminations were SO wrong (I wanted to see more from Epperson, Ra'mon even Melvin). I hope all this mess was a result of the legal mess and next season come back strong.

Irina's had the most detail and the most of what I would wear. Althea's collection was just boring and looked like a bunch of t-shirts and leggings. And cheaply made. Carol Hannah's was nice, there were some nice dresses, but it didn't go together.
I'm fine with Irina winning because she has potential to make it as a designer. And like Carol Hannah's not going to have job offers when she leaves. Or, at least good credits on her resume..
I didn't mind the black all that much in Irina's collection. It's nice to see someone to black well.
