#20, because it draws out anonymous people like you to help the Stoli and Harry Winston ads, which I both support.

#2 is right. my boss was in weight watchers and says “nothing tastes as good as thin feels” at every meal. it’s a common weight watchers-ism.

RR I am so sick of hearing you talk about weight and other’s stuffing their faces. Honest to god, get your head checked out because it’s not healthy to be this obsessed.

Etoilee8, don’t hate because I was overweight and now I’m happy about my body image and I feel good. I only talk about weight when it’s relevant to the post and because it’s a national problem.

RR, it’s nice that you lost weight, but it’s tragic that you’re still so ignorant about weight issues despite having gone through them. Not all fat people are that way because they “stuff” their faces. That is a tired and incorrect misconception (and what contributes to useless starvation diets) and it’s just plain foolish and sad that you choose to perpetuate it.

#28,
The fact is…some people are not overweight from stuffing their faces…
BUT too many overweight people are that way from stuffing their faces.
I’m so tired of people defending it and so willing to accept any reason/excuse for such a tragically unhealthy lifestyle that keeps being passed down generations.
I don’t think Kate’s quotation is perfect. I don’t think RR’s statement is perfect.
But it sure is a hell of a lot better than hearing the increasing waistlines of the population.

Thank you #29, you said what I wanted to say. From now on, I will keep my opinions about my weight to myself.

I don’t hate you because you lost the weight. Good for you. I dislike that you feel the need to keep talking about it on message boards. This is like the third or fourth mentioning of people “stuffing their faces”. It’s getting old.

@etoilee8: I don’t hate you because you’re fat, you’re fat because I hate you.

I think if you were to ask most westerners about the turthfulness of that quote 98% of the population would agree. Even those who react to the quote and say they feel great or beautiful at their size really deep down know they feel better and look better with less weight on.
Lets face the facts everyone wants to look good and we in the west are facing a huge obesity problem due to our terrible diet and bad eating habits. And we can thank our marketing, restaurant and food industry for a lot of that. As well our inability to say no and cut back and use portion control.
But now go use this quote in say Somalia, Sudan, or any number of two thirds world countries and you will get a different response. Gee I wonder why that is.
