Either way, I’d reply with “nothing LOOKS as good as a healthy mind FEELS,” ie, being in uber-diet/deprivation mode in order to achieve “skinny” is soooooo not an ideal way to be…

If you read the interview, that’s not her motto – she was riffing on a popular one and saying it’s impossible to follow a motto.

I feel like this is a little bit of a misquote. The article actually reads:
“WWD: Do you have a motto?

I’m glad that quote was taken out of context, because there are lots of yummy things I could think of that are nearly better than sex, much less being a size negative two. I prefer to eat and workout, rather than starve.

The most fascinating thing about the interview really is her weird obsession with jam making.

It would help of this stand-alone quote wasn’t taken out of context. Kate was sort of endorsing the general sentiment, but this wasn’t an all-out “here’s what I’m thinking” quote.
