Confessions of a Mark Addict

markrings.jpgI don’t wear tons of jewelry but I do love big rings. I also happen to lose them quite easily, especially the more expensive ones.

Over the past few years I’ve had a couple of rings that without fail get multiple compliments every time I wear them to a fashion event. (Of course the one I loved most, I’ve since lost!)

Editor and stylist friends always ask me what they are and my answer is simply, “Mark” No, not that Marc. But Avon’s Mark. Seriously. They do fun cocktail rings so well and the price (usually around $14) couldn’t be better.

I highly suggest giving them a try. Really who doesn’t love that many compliments? And they certainly won’t set you back financially the way the other Marc does.

In this one small, simple post, you make 10 references to yourself, and each one is like hearing a door slam. Self-reference is really the cheapest subject to write about - it lacks subtlety and charm. Could you at least say "we" and "our" so your readers can feel included? And there are a thousand ways to make your entries not sound like a thinly veiled advertisement. You can do better than this, homegirl.

Abby thanks for providing a link to mark's website! I love seeing mark get attention of course. If any girls out there are interested, search for a mark representative on the site that lives in your area or check out http://mtitievsky.mymarkstore.com. Ordering from individual reps, vs ordering off the mark main site, saves you money on shipping and gets you more deals! Nice post.
