I love how she ties in all her looks from just going out and puts them in her video like that. I’m a fan.
The song does sound like a remix, but I love Gaga, and I could listen to her all day.
Music videos have gone down hill. But I see Lady Gaga bringing them back. Single Ladies just had dancing, but this video has an actual story. And amazing styling.

I like Gaga well enough — I’m not really a pop music fan, but I appreciate that she puts in a serious visual effort, and respect that she writes her own music.
But could we please retire the word “haters”? This is not MySpace and I’ll assume the people using it here are not twelve. People are allowed to disagree with the idea that [new artist] is the most fabulous thing since [legendary artist] without being hATerZZzZzz OMfG!!!1!!

i don’t think gaga is going away any time soon. if people like rihanna and britney can survive with very little talent beyond looking hot, i’m not too worried about someone who can turn out hit after hit while creating substantial buzz for themselves both in music and fashion. other popstars right now should be ashamed at how much they suck in comparison.

Nicola Formichetti’s styling does not translate well on music videos. I totally forgot they work together because she looks so cheap here. So is he part of her Haus of Gaga? That’s pretty lame if he is. Also if he isn’t too because the way she brands her shit it seems as if all her clothes are done by her.

She is so pretentious. There’s an interview of her on Nicola’s blog where she’s playing like she’s shocked guys think she’s sexy. “I feel like I’m changing the way what guys think is sexy”. She’s always trying to give her self credit fir changing the world. She knows damn well she’s sexy or she wouldn’t be walking around dressed like a cheap prostitute.
To everyone who thinks she’s original… she’s not. If you look closely, most all pop artist have started to gravitate towards high fashion. Ciara wore the Thierry Mulger robot looking suit in her video way before Gaga (“Go Girl”).

no one here has provided a thoughtful opinion on why they dislike gaga or her video. Saying her music “sucks”, that the video is “terrible”, and that gaga looks like “chris crocker” is not an expression of dissimilar taste, it’s hate. And anyone spewing hate should be prepared for a reaction.

Jac, I think she looks really thin in some of the shots in which she is supposed to look alien-esque. I think she looks really fit but not emaciated.
I also think that Lady Gaga is something of a modern day Sex Pistols, in that her entire image is much more important than her music, which, like the Sex Pistols, isn’t very good, and serves as more of a social commentary than anything else. Take her self-important “I’m changing the world” attitude. It’s not unlike lots of other celebrities (Angelina Jolie, anyone?), but I think it’s meant to be a critique of people like Angelina rather than serious statement.
